NURSE &
HEALTH VISITOR CLINICS
The Health visiting and Nursing Teams
provide a variety of services which include:
General Clinic
All our practice nurses are able
to do Ear Syringing, Dressings and some injections. There is a surgery every morning
and afternoon each weekday at Hadleigh House and Hadleigh Lodge.
Travel Clinics (For advice on vaccinations needed)
Travel clinics are held at both surgeries. Please ring to find out times and to make an appointment.
Immunisation Clinics - Including immunisations for Tetanus, Diphtheria, Whooping
Cough, Polio, Meningitis C, MMR and Pre School Boosters.

Coronary Heart Disease Clinic
This is a new Clinic set up to monitor
all patients who have had a coronary event or have been diagnosed as having angina
and is run by one of our practice nurses.
Hadleigh Lodge – Tuesday mornings
Hadleigh House – Tuesday afternoons
If you fall into this category and wish to avail yourself of this opportunity,
we will arrange for you to have your cholesterol checked before hand so that the
results are available at each visit.
Diabetic Clinic
All our diabetic patients are checked
every 6 months, either in the practice or at the hospital. Your diet and weight
are checked and diabetic control is discussed and arrangements made for you to
see a doctor if necessary. Prior to the clinic you will need to have a blood form
so that the results are available at each visit.

Cytology Clinic
Cytology clinics are held at both surgeries. Please ring to find out times and to make an appointment.
Asthma Clinic
Asthma Clinics are held at both surgeries. Please ring to find out times and to make an appointment.
A trained asthma nurse will discuss asthma control, education and future management.

Along with our Doctors we have several
other Health Care Professionals working from our Premises who are able to offer
the following specialist services.
Family Planning / Contraception
See your usual doctor in normal surgery
hours for advice and help with family planning and contraception
Maternity
See your usual doctor in normal surgery hours - he/she will care for you during
your pregnancy with our midwives
Minor surgery
We can perform various minor surgical
procedures from Hadleigh House and Hadleigh Lodge. Please speak to your usual doctors.
Physiotherapy Assessment and Treatment
We have a full physiotherapy service in the Practice run by qualified physiotherapists - see your usual GP to access this service.
Chiropody
Run by Chiropodists from Dorset Health
Care Trust on various days of the week. Your usual doctor can refer you to this
service.
Counselling, Adult and Child Psychology
Run by 2 fully trained counsellors,
a clinical psychologist and a specialist child psychologist from Dorset Health
Care Trust. Your usual doctor can refer you to these services.
Cryotherapy
Dr Purbrick and Dr Bridgman run
this specialist
clinic every other Tuesday and your usual doctor can refer you to his clinic when
required to treat minor skin complaints.
