ASSISTANT PRACTICE MANAGER - Debbie Fry

RECEPTION TEAM LEADER - Carolyn Sullivan
Carolyn is responsible for the smooth
running of the reception departments at both surgeries. An important part of the
receptionist's role is to bring together the doctor and patient at the most appropriate
and mutually convenient time within the availability of appointments - which are
now computerised. By the very nature of their job, they work in a stressful environment;
however, they always do their best to offer a high quality and caring service
to the patients. Please be a patient patient!
PRACTICE NURSING TEAM
Mrs Jan Grover RGN, Mrs Del Hill RGN, Mrs Pam Dodd SEN, Helen Luff RGN, Mrs Juliette Elfes RGN and Mrs Chris Sanders RGN.
We have a practice Nurse Team of
6 each with their own speciality; please refer to the Clinics information sheet.
HEALTH VISITING TEAM

Health Visitors are qualified registered nurses who have gone on to do further training in family and child health. Nursery Nurses have qualifications in child care. The team all have different roles but together they provide support to families and young children. (See HV Team page for further details)
GP REGISTRARS:
We are a training practice and usually have a GP registrar working at each surgery.
(Registrars are fully qualified doctors who have had hospital medical experience.)
SECRETARIAL TEAM:
We have a team of six who are responsible for dealing with all the incoming and outgoing correspondence. We have four Medical Secretaries who support our clinicians, one Management Secretary who supports the management team and one Office Assistant who is responsible for scanning all correspondence. The Secretarial Team carry out much of the 'behind the scenes' work that is essential for the smooth running of the practice
ITQA (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND QUALITY AUDIT) TEAM:
Traditionally the role was known as the Admin Team but the role and purpose of the team has had to accommodate a great deal of change in recent years. The team has had to adjust and learn new skills and hence a change in name was appropriate to reflect their new role. The ITQA team are one of two important "behind the scenes" teams. They are first line support for all IT matter and have to cope with both the software and hardware issues that arise. They are a busy team and have to balance the priorities of IT support with producing audits that are required to measure the performance of the Practice against the targets identified by the DoH and the PCT. Lastly, as an important part of patients wellbeing, the ITQA team are responsible for data input and maintaining patients records as well as issuing calls/recalls (invitations) to patients to attend specific clinics.
